Our Story
Barry and Kendra Boice both grew up in Haliburton County, local to the West Guilford area, and have always been deeply connected to the community they serve. Shortly after getting married, they purchased Blair Sand & Gravel from Lee and Marie Blair in August of 1993 — beginning a new chapter for both their family and the business.
Less than two years after taking over, they welcomed their first child, Zach, who has since grown into his role as the company’s estimator and supervisor. Their other two sons, Josh and Joe, also grew up immersed in the business before pursuing their own careers — Josh as a mortgage agent and Joe as a local real estate agent.
Over the past 32 years, Barry and Kendra have built Blair Sand & Gravel into a respected and well-known company throughout the county — one they are proud to stand behind. What started as a small family operation continues today with the same values it was founded on: hard work, integrity, and a commitment to doing the job right.
